Updated information about the first International Swiss Open to be held from the 24th - 26th June of next year has just been released. The Swiss Pitch and Putt Association (SPPA) had no option but to announce the details of such a tournament now, simply because St. Moritz is such a wonderful location and a prestigious and hugely popular tourist destination; the course is open for only a few months of the year, and the hotel accommodation is very much in demand. SPPA has succeeded in arranging special prices in a number of hotels.
In order to guarantee the SPPA's offer (agreed tariffs with the course and hoteliers), prospective participants are asked - categorically - to announce their intention to participate as early as possible (before March 31st 2011).
If well supported by international players, the I. Swiss International Open will be a huge boost for the promotion and development of our sport in Switzerland.
Member associations are asked to do their utmost to promote this first Swiss Open among clubs and players as soon as possible, circulating the poster to clubs and posting the details on the websites.
